HOW TO APPLY Cornell Faces Cornell Campus

International Students: Financial Aid

Citizens of Mexico and citizens and permanent residents of Canada and the United States are eligible for need-based aid on the same basis as U.S. citizen. These students should see the Financial Aid and Student Employment Web site for instructions and forms required: http://finaid.cornell.edu.  Students who have been granted refugee status or asylum are included in this category.

Candidates with applications for U.S. permanent residence pending must provide proof of permanent residence to the Financial Aid and Student Employment Office by May 1 in order to be eligible for aid in the following Fall.

Students in the categories above should direct questions to: finaid@cornell.edu

International students:  Cornell University maintains only a very limited program of financial assistance for international students who are not citizens of the U.S., Canada or Mexico. Those who receive funds bring exceptional academic records and unusual potential to contribute to the Cornell community in other ways.  This information is not intended to discourage you from applying, but to give you a realistic understanding of the chances for receiving aid.

International students do not complete the FAFSA or College Scholarship profile, but must submit our Financial Aid Application for International Students.

Make sure to read the instructions on the top left of the form and include required documentation of income, because aid applications will not be considered without this information. Questions may be addressed to the International Mailbox at intl-inquiry@cornell.edu.
